You do not say which version you are on, but if the report allows you to add a new "Report Setting" you could go into designer and put a formula in, to divide the dollar amount by the quantity and add it to the report.  This of course will give you a rounded number, but close to what was charged.

Hello I'm sure this has been asked but it didn't come up on my search. I am trying to import PR using General Ledger Exchange - standard format.  It validates fine, but 0 records on import - says I must enter at least one line.  I have entered all the fields, tried it as excel and csv -same error message.  Anybody have any recommendations on how to track down what the problem is?  Using csv file I have (info type, no column headers)... GLAcct Num           Descrip         date (yyy-mm-dd format)       GJ     1 (setup to assign next number if duplicate)   lineNum    GJ     Aug PR      amt   Aug PR Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I am looking for a table(s) that I can use in a crystal report and/or sage intelligence report that have fields that represent all the information you see when you click the HISTORY tab in item maintenance. It seems like I'd have to grab several tables to get this information. Is that correct? Sage 100 2014 Standard.

I have a client on Sage ERP 100 2013 that has a report with multiple parameters, but 1 parameter is the user that gets the report. They can run the report and get one PDF, but I am wondering if with the latest version, if we can create a PDF for each of the users because otherwise they may need to run the report 100 times to get 100 PDF files. Any suggestions?  Thank you in advance.

Forum Post: SetValue AccountKey$ not working in PO Order Entry

Hi Forum, I have a script to populate GL Accounts in PO Order Entry based on warehouse code UDF_Segment. I was able to make it work and all of a sudden stopped working. LastErrMsg is "Column not in IOList". I was able to test and i had no problems at all up until today.  Actually it worked on a couple of entries and now it doesn't work at all. I am using: retVal = oBusObj.SetValue("AccountKey$", GLAccount) to populate the GL Account..... Here is the script: retVal = 0 TransactionType = "" oGlAccount = 0 oLines = 0 oProdLine = 0 oWhseCode = 0 TmpGL = "" TmpType = "" TmpNewGL = "" TmpInvAcct = "" TmpCOGSAcct = "" ProdLine = "" GLAccount = "" MainAcct = "" WhseCode = "" GLSegment = "" DfltWhse = "" item = "" sCompany = oSession.CompanyCode if sCompany = "TS2" then 'strMsg = "Company code: " & sCompany 'retVal = oSession.AsObject(oSession.UI).MessageBox("",strMsg) retVal = oBusObj.GetValue("ProductLine$", ProdLine) retVal = oBusObj.GetValue("WarehouseCode$", DfltWhse) Set oProdLine = oSession.AsObject(oSession.GetObject("IM_ProductLine_svc")) retVal = oProdLine.Find(ProdLine) strMsg = "ProdLine Find return code: " & retVal & " ProdLine Found: " & ProdLine & " DfltWhse: " & DfltWhse retVal = oSession.AsObject(oSession.UI).MessageBox("",strMsg) retVal = oProdLine.GetValue("InventoryAcctKey$",TmpInvAcct) strMsg = "ProdLine Acct return code: " & retVal & " Account Found: " & TmpInvAcct retVal = oSession.AsObject(oSession.UI).MessageBox("",strMsg) Set oGLAccount = oSession.AsObject(oSession.GetObject("GL_Account_svc")) 'Set oGLAccount = oSession.AsObject(oBusObj.GetChildHandle("TmpInvAcct")) Acct = "" retVal = oGLAccount.Find(TmpInvAcct) 'Find GL Account retVal = oGLAccount.GetValue("MainAccountCode$", MainAcct) strMsg = "GL Account Return code: " & retVal & " Main Account Found: " & MainAcct retVal = oSession.AsObject(oSession.UI).MessageBox("",strMsg) '******* Warehouse Code ********* retVal = oBusObj.GetValue("WarehouseCode$", WhseCode) Set oWhseCode = oSession.AsObject(oSession.GetObject("IM_Warehouse_svc")) retVal = oWhseCode.SetKeyValue("ItemCode$", item) retVal = oWhseCode.SetKeyValue("WarehouseCode$", WhseCode) '******* Find Warehouse to get GL Segment ********* retVal = oWhseCode.Find(WhseCode) strMsg = "WhseCode Find return code: " & retVal & " WhseCode Found: " & WhseCode retVal = oSession.AsObject(oSession.UI).MessageBox("",strMsg) retVal = oWhseCode.GetValue("UDF_GL_POSTING$", GLSegment) if GLSegment "" then GLAccount = MainAcct & GLSegment '******* Purchases Account ********* retVal = oBusObj.SetValue("AccountKey$", GLAccount) If retVal = 0 then rVal = oSession.AsObject(oSession.UI).MessageBox("", "FAILED! - " & oBusObj.LastErrorMsg) End if strMsg = "SetValue GL Account$ return code: " & retVal & " GL Account Found: " & GLAccount retVal = oSession.AsObject(oSession.UI).MessageBox("",strMsg) end if end if Thanks in advance for any advise.. Forum Post: Slow search for customer PO duplicates

Have a client who suggested that their remote location (using Sage 100 Advanced) was significantly slow.   Upon investigating,  I concluded that the majority of their slowness was just unreasonable expectations and that it actually was pretty fast.   I would be happy with the speed if it were a LAN and not a WAN.  I tested ping speeds and they were all very reasonable for working over a VPN. However I did spot one place where I could not logically explain the dramatic speed difference. When you enter a sales order and enter the customer purchase order you can set it to look for duplicate purchase orders. Client has it set up to look only at open sales orders and unposted sales invoices so the search should be fairly fast. We find that an onsite client gets a search result of about 1 second but the remote clients take about 9 seconds.   This seems totally ridiculous for a client server installation even over a WAN because the processing should be occurring at the server and only the results returned. Thoughts?   Maybe something in the programming isn't quite right to take advantage of c/s functionality?

Our purchasing department is looking for an indented Gross Requirement report in Bill of Materials.  They would like to have the report blow through phantoms and subassemblies to show the gross amount of all raw materials needed for the associated BOMs and quantities they have selected.  Has anyone done this before...Or is this report setting somewhere that I have yet to find/   Thanks Brian

I have a script attached to a custom button on the Sales Order Entry screen that prints a particular Sales Order Printing form code.  The script worked fine in MAS 200 v4.30, but now that we migrated to Sage 100 Advanced 2014, I'm having trouble with the destination printer. Previously, I did not specify a printer in the script - it simply printed to the default printer. Set soPrint = oSession.AsObject(oSession.GetObject("SO_SalesOrderPrinting_rpt")) retVal = soPRINT.SelectReportSetting("1") soPRINT.QuickPrint = soNo retVal = soPRINT.ProcessReport("PRINT")   Is there a way to explicitly select a printer to print the report to?

Forum Post: AP Invoice Detail Script problem

I have a script attached to the 'Set Default Values' event of the AP_InvoiceDetail object.  The script just sets some default values (based on a few conditions) in a few UDFs I have setup in the InvoiceDetail table.  The script worked fine in MAS 200 v4.40.  We have just upgraded the client to Sage 100 2014 Advanced.  While the script still works, there is a strange problem when either opening a previously saved invoice, or when the users simply switches from the 'Lines' tab to the 'Header' tab, then back again. If we have 5 lines entered on the invoice (with their account and distribution amount), click the header tab, then come back to the Lines tab, the previously entered lines exist, but the 'G/L Account' and 'Amount' columns are completely blanked out. From what I can tell, if the focus is on the last row of the lines tab (the blank 'new row') and the users switches to the header, then back to the lines, the rows are blank.  If the user puts focus on ANY of the existing lines before switching to the header and back to the lines, all information is present. This is pretty strange, but if anyone has any ideas why this would start happening in Sage 2014, I sure would appreciate it.

Forum Post: Cash deposit into wrong company

Hello, We have two separate companies that we track with Sage 100, each with their own bank accounts.  I received a check and used Cash Receipts Entry to record the deposit into the correct company.  But, I then physically deposited the check into the other company.  The bank kept the deposit in the wrong company - which is okay from a bank/cash perspective, but not from a Sage perspective. Any ideas how to 'move' the cash from one company to another? Thanks!

Forum Post: RE: How can we email purchase orders to vendors?

This is not the most elegant solution but it is how we do it currently as we do alot of single purchase orders. We choose "print/pdf all" when printing. We do this so we have a paper copy to attach to quotes for the Sales department. The we go to "accounts Payable", select the company and then go to the "P/O" tab. We select the paperless viewer icon on the right. It brings up a list of pdf's. Select the P/O you want to email (click once) and the little email icon appears on the right. click send and off it goes.

If you turn on sales order history and require a reason for deleting,  I believe you should be able to track items being deleted. Line items changing might be a little more difficult.   Possibly using Knowledgesync?    I've got a client asking me to try to do something similar with it now.  No conclusions as to whether I can make it work yet.

The methods work great, thanks.  It turns out I wasn't being given the complete story.  Only select users have the issue, and it seems to be a specific printer causing the problem. Thanks again.
