We are currently running Sage ERP 100 Advanced 4.3. I would like to bring us up to the current level, but am considering doing this in two steps as I understand that 2014 requires Windows 2008 Server and Windows 7 workstations. We have a good number of workstations still on XP and want to continue on our current workstation upgrade schedule rather than upgrade everything immediately. So I have a few questions 1) I understand that 4.5 may not be SUPPORTED in 2003 server and XP, but will it RUN on those OSs without issue? 2) What modules have database changes between 4.3 and 4.5, just IM and BM? 2) Is Business Alerts still functional for 4.5? (presuming I rewrite any jobs based on IM and BM) 3) Is the event interface for scripting available in 4.5? The event based scripting is the primary reason for upgrading ASAP. Thanks for your help. I have reviewed product literature but quite frankly everything is corporate marketing-speak and very little just states the basic facts.
