The 'High Tower Service Packs' are for the 'Communications Library Master' modification. They are not Sage products, they are 3rd party enhancements from HighTower inc ; Sage wouldn't know what affect removing them would have. If you don't have the documentation that came with the modification you could reach out to your reseller or SWK Technologies. SWK aquired Hightower and they may be able to let you know what functionality the enhancement added to your system. BUT - if you are just doing a test migration/conversion you could copy the live 3.71 ..\mas90 directory somewhere else on the server and use that for testing. Then you could remove whatever you wanted. Going from 3.xx to a current version is a pretty complex upgrade. General Ledger needs to be groomed and corrected or there will be problems, same with Inventory if you are using it. All the modules will need care and work but those are the most work from my experiance. Suggestion: Before you migrate, find out what years of back data you absolutely need and PURGE the data from years you don't need. Details on the modules in question: B/C - doesn't really hold data its just imports for other modules. B/R - you don't use it and it really doesn't have data of its own either. C/S - Hightower Inc now SWK D/W - A migration tool that isn't used anymore P/M - was used for creating automated emails and snail mailers; no longer used Again, this is a pretty complex upgrade, you may need assistance from your reseller.
