Forum Post: Changing Year end

I have a client that has been on fiscal year ends since inception, their current   FY ends on 3/31/14.   They need to change to and start using calendar year ends effective 01/01/2014.   This means that they need to end their current FY on 12/31/2013 (9 month year) and create their calendar year.   My prior experience changing year ends dealt with changing them all not just changing it into the future.   Can this be done?   Can you have a 9 month year and then proceed with calendar years into the future?   Any help would be appreciated
