Crystal edit may not be a good idea as the items will still be frozen. When you do your data entry, the printed work sheet will not be in the same format (i.e. the data entry will have items not showing in the printed) which will likely cause confusion. Sounds like a good suggestion for the ideas site to add a selection criteria for active/not active in a similar manner to discontinued.
