We have a customer running Sage 100 v2014 Advanced, and they are heavy users of VI import jobs. Everything is fine with that, but when looking for something in the Activity Log I noticed it was taking an excessive time to run the report (...more excessive than usual for this file), and I checked the file size. Having the log file grow over 1GB every month seems excessive, especially when there is no purge utility. Ideally we'd like to exclude VI line data from being logged, so only useful data is recorded... or perhaps the VI logs could be moved to a separate file, so the system log can actually be useful without taking hours to open. I understand (unverified) that we could rename this set of files and it should be re-created automatically, but something less extreme (and not requiring the service to be stopped) would be preferred. Any suggestions?
