Forum Post: RE: Sage Intelligence as FRx replacement...

We moved to Sage Intelligence and for the most part I like it. For the end users, I think it's pretty good. As far as the administration of it I have a handful of complaints. We run multiple companies and we've painstakingly made the COA uniform so that we can use the same financial report templates for all of them. In FRx, if you added an account, you could just add it once to the "Row layout" and it would be applied to everything that used that layout. Sage Intelligence doesn't make use of the master Row and Column layouts, so you end up having to update multiple excel templates, some of which have many individual tabs within them. So that can be kind of a pain, also the drill down feature doesn't get presented in the formatted manner in which FRx did, which is too bad. Also, as Rsmcnamara eluded too, Sage Intelligence doesn't have the ability to generate a separate tab for each unit in the reporting tree out of the box. I'm slowly but surely getting around most of these problems with the use of Excel Macro's but it would be nice if it was a little more seamless. With all that, I am happy with the end results, it's just a little more work on the back end.
