One of my clients recently upgraded to Sage 100 Standard 2014 and was processing their first physical inventory after their upgrade. They entered via Card Count Entry. Reviewed the Card Count Report and Physical Count Variance Register but did not update. They realized there were some corrections that needed to be made. They tried to go back into Card Count Entry, but none of their information was visible. They also looked in Physical Count Entry, but nothing was there either. I used DFDM to access the IM_Physical file (which showed a size of about 10MB, but DFDM said it was empty. I copied the company and rebuilt the various Card Count and IM_Physical files. They also re-froze inventory. At that point, when they went into Card Count Entry to "start over", all their entries were there. They updated the Card Count Variance Register and the Physical Count Variance Register, and all became right in their world. Is there something that happened by NOT updating the Physical Count Variance Register (the first time through it had some outrageous figure as a variance that they wanted to verify)? Was it rebuilding or re-freezing that "re-opened" the data entry? I've not seen this before, and none of my co-consultants has either. Thanks
