In order for local taxes to print on the W2s using eFiling & Reporting (Aatrix) you must select a local tax description from the drop down list in Tax Table Maintenance. TIP: There will be a 4 digit Aatrix code in parenthesis at the end. Local tax codes do not print on eFiling and Reporting forms (KB ID 20895) Select the applicable Local Tax Code Description in Tax Table Maintenance. 1.Open Payroll, Setup, Tax Table Maintenance 2.Select State from look up, press TAB 3.Select applicable local code from look up or manually define a unique user defined 3 character local tax code, press TAB 4.In the Local Tax Code Description drop down list, select the applicable Tax Description NOTE: If the local tax description is not listed, select LOCAL WITHHOLDING TAX from drop down IMPORTANT NOTE: You must select a local tax description from drop down list, in order for Local Tax amounts to populate into eFiling and Reporting forms 5.Click Accept How to populate Box 14 on W2s (KB ID 18867) Steps to populated Misc Deductions and Earnings on W2s: 1. Open Payroll, Period End, Federal eFiling and Reporting 2. Highlight xxxx W2/W3 form (xxxx=tax year) 3. In the W2 and Box 14 Selections section, select the applicable Misc Earnings Code or Misc Deduction Code 4. Click Accept 5. Complete the steps in the W-2 Wizard until the W2/1099 Preparer is launched 6. The columns will display in the grid as DedCode1, DedCode2, EarnCode1 & EarnCode2 7. Right click on the Column and select Rename 8. Enter the Description you would like to print on the W-2 Note: only the first 10 characters will print 9. Click Ok TIP: There is an eFiling & reporting guide available for download on Sage Support Portal that will take you step by step in processing W2s & 1099s. Once logged into the Support Portal in the search field type 24210 and click Search. Open the KB and click eFiling and Reporting link to download the guide.
